Unlike many, we do not restrict ourselves to a limited range of recoveries. Our Fort Worth agents handle a broad range of recovery. The vast majority of our recoveries are cars and trucks, but we have handled RVs, heavy construction equipment, and recreational vehicles. Complicated assignments, that others might not accept, can off result in success.

Fort Worth, Texas Title & Recovery Requirements

Title & License: Licensing and registration information is supplied by Customer Information Services, Texas Department of Transportation, V.T.R., Fort Worth, TX 78779-0001.

Recording: Recorded in the office of the County Clerk where the borrower resides, or where property is situated, if non-resident.

This does not apply to motor vehicles.

Texas adopted the Uniform Commercial Code in July, 1966.

Recovery: Peaceful repossession is allowed under Texas law.

Redemption: Borrowers have a ten (10) day window for redemption.

Deficiency: Confession of judgment loans are not valid; however, deficiency balances are valid if in the lien.

Motor Vehicles: Liens must appear on the Certificate of Title to be valid against 3rd parties. The State Highway Department notes the lien on receipt of the certificate until satisfied.

Documents Required: Certificate of title in the name of the lien holder, or the debtor’s name with lien release, affidavit of repossession, certified lien, and notarized Power of attorney. Call our office for assistance.

Plates: Texas plates stay with the vehicle or the lien holder.
