Minnesota presents a unique set of challenges that standard repossession services cannot meet. We have repossessed vehicles in Minnesota winter recoveries in blizzard conditions and down to -30 degrees Fahrenheit; from frozen lake access areas; and rural agricultural areas during their harvest season. With our cold weather and trained operators we have recovered a full range of vehicles from snowmobiles on thin ice to combine harvesters in the spring mud, each from very different environments of Minnesota.
As the Minnesota economy ranges from Fortune 500 companies in Minneapolis to family farms in the Red River Valley, we have been able to gain experience and adapt to different challenges of recovery. We have developed an understanding of recovering in a timely basis specialized agricultural equipment for instance during their planting season – we learned very quickly that timing is everything for farmers, especially back in 2019 when in some areas crops went in weeks later than normal, ultimately leading to a planting disaster for many of the farming sector in Minnesota. There is also our knowledge of the mining industry in the Iron Range and taking the repossession of heavier equipment from a variety of areas, which together has greatly improved while adhering to recovery requirements in Minnesota.

Minnesota Knowledge Matters
Winter Weather Knowledge – Minnesota winter weather can be harsh. Duluth, Minneapolis, and Rochester have all heated indoor stages so we can be sure our equipment is functioning properly even when the thermometer drops.
Agriculture Integration: Minnesota’s agricultural economy is $18 billion and requires us to understand the farming cycle of each season. When we recovered a John Deere combine worth $600,000 in harvest season, we coordinated with the farmer to mitigate crop loss for the short time it was in our possession. Our experience is vast, we also recover dairy equipment in southeastern Minnesota and of course sugar beet harvesters in the Red River Valley, but we have to consider the timing of the agricultural calendar regardless.
State‐Specific Services:
Standard Vehicle Recoveries: Specializing in the most common vehicles in Minnesota includes pickup trucks, SUVs, and AWD vehicles that are needed to get around in Minnesota winters. We know that Minnesotans prefer vehicles that are reliable and “get them where they need to go”, and this means we need to have specific equipment for recoveries of vehicles that are equipped with remote start systems and/or block heaters.
Recreational Vehicle Repossessions: Minnesota has a large RV culture, and given all RVs can be used for multiple activities from lake cabins to Boundary Waters, this specialized need exists. In the last year, we have recovered Class A motorhomes from remote campgrounds and ice fishing houses from frozen lakes utilizing our specialized winter recovery equipment. Agricultural Equipment Recovery: We have specialized knowledge about Minnesota farm operations. As you would expect, from corn and soybean operations in the south to the dairy farms in central Minnesota – we understand the critical time frame for equipment needed like planters (used only during the quick 3 weeks of spring) and the rest of the equipment that operation types need for corn, soybeans, wheat, edible beans, or wherever the fall harvest season takes them!
Watercraft Recovery: We have also reviewed and recovered boats and PWCs (personal watercraft) under extreme times throughout Minnesota’s abundant waterways, including remote lake properties with only boat launches! Because of our long-standing relationships with Minnesota’s relatively small marina network–this makes for maximum recovery even in some cases, while exceptions include working off private docks.
Heavy Equipment Repossession: Construction equipment, including construction equipment involved in Minnesota’s road construction or road projects, and mining equipment from Iron Range sites. Our team has recovered excavators from remote mining locations and even road graders from the other highway infrastructure areas of Minnesota.
Specialized Asset Recovery: In addition, we have recovered specially unique Minnesota assets including maple syrup producing equipment, wild rice harvesting equipment, and commercial fishing equipment in support of operators from Lake Superior.
Seasonal Flexibility: Minnesota has extreme seasonal variability, so we must take a flexible approach in our operations. For example, we would focus on heated staging areas and cold-weather equipment in winter, in summer we would focus on being as rapid as possible during Minnesota’s short construction and agricultural seasons.
Border Coordination: As we are close to Canada, we have specialized protocols for cross-border recoveries as well as coordination with customs officials particularly with commercial equipment that may have been used in international operations.
Minnesota Legal Compliance Expertise
Minnesota has specific repossession laws which require specialized expertise that goes beyond generic knowledge. We maintain current licensure under Minnesota Statutes Chapter 326B and know that Minnesota also has unique requirements that need immediate action such as the requirement to provide written notice to debtors within 24 hours of recovering the vehicle and it must be delivered by certified mail to the last known address of the debtor.
Minnesota also has a redemption period which allows the debtor to get the vehicle back until it is sold which requires careful tracking and follow-through, and documentation. We track all recovery details as specfied by Minnesota, such as the prohibition against repoing vehicles from certain locations such as hospitals and schools.
Our compliance with Minnesota also extends to Minnesota’s specific bond requirements for repossession agents and our perfect record with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. We have successfully handled over 15,000 Minnesota recoveries with full regulatory compliance and zero violations.
Professional licensing through the state also helps ensure that we meet Minnesota’s continuing education requirements and we stay current with changing regulations. We have developed strong relationships with Minnesota courts and law enforcement agencies to ensure that we are providing legal and ethical operations throughout the state.
With a 97.3% successful recovery rate in Minnesota and an average response time of 2.4 hours for the entire state, our years of operations in Minnesota show proven expertise to understand the unique challenges of the state.
